The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) needed someone to enhance, optimize, and maintain their Zend Framework and MongoDB-based database application. In their Survivors Teaching Students (STS) initiative, OCRFA sends survivors of ovarian cancer to nursing and medical schools to help students learn the risk factors and identify the symptoms of ovarian cancer, which is frequently missed until tragically late.
In addition to expanding the information collected, fixing long-standing bugs, and creating new reports, musketeers.me helped them demonstrate success by creating scores to show how much students learned in each presentation. We were also able to modernize their infrastructure and achieve significant savings on ongoing hosting costs by helping them choose a more cost-effective yet more performant configuration of their Amazon Web Services platform.
